FIELD: heat-power engineering; operation of extraction turbines. SUBSTANCE: method consists in transition from mode of bypassing steam from high-pressure cylinder to low-pressure cylinder fitted with control member to mode of back pressure of high-pressure cylinder. Rotor of low-pressure cylinder is replaced with shaft fitted with disks whose overall dimensions are equal to those of disks without working portion of blades. Blank with safety device is removed from receiver. Control member of low-pressure cylinder is set in position of minimum opening by means of shim laid on servomotor rod. Servomotor of turbine lock valve is connected with safety pressure regulator. Condenser is cooled by make-up water. Main steam gate valve is fully closed under action of pulse from high-pressure cylinder exhaust. EFFECT: simplified construction; enhanced economical efficiency; prevention of pressure rise in high-pressure rise in high-pressure cylinders during stoppage in case of leaks in steam admitting members of extraction turbine. 1 dwg
