FIELD: automatic control and computer engineering; serviceability check of digital units. SUBSTANCE: test signal is applied to inspected entity, response signal is recorded, reference and recorded response signals are compared, test signals and inspection entity response signals are set in digital code, test signals are shaped according to values set in digital code, test signals are applied to respective inputs of inspected entity, deviations in inspected entity signals responding to respective effect in time domain are recorded, types of deviations in inspected entity response signals are visualized, test signals are shaped again according to values set in digital code before first deviation, and given action is periodically repeated until deviation is eliminated; decision adopted according to results of diagnostics is visualized. EFFECT: improved efficiency of diagnostics. 6 dwg
