AUTOMOBILE WHEEL ANTITHEFT INTERLOCK Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; automobiles with light alloy wheels with large vent holes. SUBSTANCE: wheel interlock has one or several bushing secured opposite to vent holes in disk on plate installed between wheel disk and hub. To provided interlocking, pin with lock mechanism is fitted into one of bushings. With wheel being turned, pin thrusts against brake backing plate. To prevent removal of wheel, protective plate can be installed which is fixed by the pin and covers wheel bolts. When wheel is fastened by special antitheft bolts, device can be used without protective plate. EFFECT: reduced mass of device, enhanced convenience of mounting and possibility of keeping it in saloon, when not in use. 3 cl, 3 dwg
