FIELD: transport engineering; antitheft devices. SUBSTANCE: antitheft protection is provided by fixing steering linkage relative to car body. Unit which locks steering shaft uses locking pin fitted in lock mechanism which locks the unit. To unlock antitheft device key is used to open the lock and then locking pin is taken out. Invention improves reliability of antitheft protection as, owing to confined free space, access to connecting screws of device and drilling out of lock proper is prevented. EFFECT: provision of reliable protection against hijacking. 5 dwg
