FIELD: construction material industry, in particular, production of decorative covering plates used for internal and external finishing of buildings. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing plates from basic material, such as broken glass, sludges, slugs, alumina, sand etc; placing basic burden components layer by layer in molds; providing thermal treatment and calcination; performing additional heating by melt of one of burden components, which is poured on free surface of blank. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and improved quality of new generation covering plates with small crystalline structure and improved quality of outer surface.
