FIELD: ecology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel strain of bacterium Rhodococcus species MFN isolated from oil of "Druzhba" oil pipeline. The strain is deposited in VKPM at N Ac-1558. This strain utilizes oil, mazut, kerosene, naphthalene, tetradecane, pentadecane, hexadecene, phenyldecane, pristane, benzene and kerosene vapors and propane and butane gases as a single carbon source. Process follows at the broad range of temperature and utilization of petroleum products at 5-th day is 75-95%. The strain shows resistance to heavy metal ions: Mn, Ni, Zn, Mo, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Ag. EFFECT: new strain indicated above, enhanced effectiveness of the strain. 4 ex
