FIELD: ecology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new strain of bacterium Pseudomonas alcaligenes B-1 isolated from oil-polluted soil in Arkhangelsk district. The strain is deposited in VKPM at N B-7529. This strain utilizes oil, mazut, kerosene, naphthalene, pentadecane, tetradecane, hexadecene, phenyldecane, pristane at 20-30 C for 5 days. The strain shows resistance to heavy metal ions: Mn, Pb, Zn, Mo, Fe, Ni, Cr. The strain carries out an effective biodegradation of hydrocarbons at the broad range of their concentration. EFFECT: strain of bacterium indicated above, enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 1 tbl, 4 ex
