FIELD: technical microbiology, ecology. SUBSTANCE: new strain of bacterium Pseudomonas putida-9 is isolated from the oil-polluted soil of Moscow region. The strain is deposited in VKPM B-7528. This strain utilizes oil, mazut, kerosene, naphthalene, tetradecane, pentadecane, hexadecene, phenyldecane, pristane being at fifth day at 20-30 C. The strain is resistant to heavy metal ions: Mn, Pb, Zn, Mo, Fe, Cu, Ni, Cr, Hg. Effectiveness of oil utilization and petroleum products by this strain is up to 77%.
