FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines with automatically controlled compression ratio. SUBSTANCE: flywheels and gear rims arranged in eccentric housings are installed inside hollow single-throw crankshaft of engine. Torsion gears come into meshing with gear rims. Flywheels are coupled by single-throw crankshaft. Regulating shaft is hinge coupled by means of crank with flywheel, by square thread with its eccentric housing, and by splines, with driving gear of timing mechanism. Regulating shaft acts through thrust bearing onto movement of regulator piston and, from piston through leverage, onto operating device to limit delivery of fuel by throttle. Simultaneously spiral load spring is compressed by regulator piston. Compression ratio is regulated by pressure of compressed air delivered into above-piston space of regulator. EFFECT: increased power output and economy of engine. 2 dwg
