FIELD: machine building, in particular, development of Diesel engines with unseparated combustion chamber. SUBSTANCE: the engine has a cylinder, cylinder head with an inlet channel including an inlet section and a spiral channel separated by a rib, outlet section, inlet valve with axis shifted relative to cylinder axis, and a valve seat; the rib separating the inlet section and the spiral channel is located in the plane passing through the axes both of the valve and cylinder, and the outlet section restricted by the inner surface of the valve seat has the shape of the Laval nozzle; made on the bottom of the cylinder head near the seat is a platen representing a cylindrical surface smoothly changing into a tapered surface to the place of outlet of air vortex from the cylinder head with an angle of inclination to the valve axis equal to the angle of inclination of the valve plate working face. EFFECT: enhanced fuel efficiency due to the increase of the moment of swirl of air flow, and orientation of the direction of its outlet from the inlet valve to the cylinder. 4 cl, 3 dwg
