FIELD: mechanical engineering; single-cylinder internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine has cylinder 1 and crankshaft 2 with counterweight 3. Balancing shaft with counterweight 3 are made integral in form of stepped semi-cylinder 4. Two steps of smaller diameter are arranged opposite to checks of crankshaft 2, and larger diameter step is arranged between cheeks if crankshaft 2 and is provided with bevels 8 and 9 engaging with diametric plane 10 of semi-cylinder 4 at angle of α = 40-50o and passing through lines 11 and 12 of intersection of diametric plane 10 with cylindrical surface of smaller diameter steps. Semi-cylinder 4 is installed in engine crankcase so that its axis 15 of symmetry is parallel to axis 16 of engine cylinder with piston in top dead center. EFFECT: simplified design and reduced overall dimensions of engine at provision of tolerable degree of unbalance. 2 cl, 2 dwg
