FIELD: equipment for automatic discharge of condensate from units and pipelines working under excessive pressure conditions. SUBSTANCE: condensate drain has casing with inlet and outlet branch pipes, float positioned within casing and provided with rod and locking member adjoining to seat having conical tangential surface. Seat is mounted in bottom adjoining to drain channel. Portion of casing adjoining to bottom is made in the form of truncated cone to define together with conical surface of seat a single cone. Locking member seat has at least one slot extending along generatrix on conical surface. Drain channel has auxiliary conical bore to which auxiliary spring-loaded ball back valve adjoins. Ball back valve has spring compression force adjusting device. Condensate drain of such construction may be used in systems where water vapor is used as heating heat-carrier.
