FIELD: different industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to remove condensate from heat consuming devices where steam is used as heat carrier. Proposed float steam trap has horizontal cylindrical housing with intake and outlet branch pipes, shutoff member adjoining outlet branch pipe, lever movably connected by one end to housing on other end of which float is fitted, being three-dimensional member with side surface limited by lower and upper bases. Each base consists of two symmetrical segment of circumference, segments of circumferences of upper and lower bases having equal radius, and segments forming upper base having area greater than segments forming lower base.

EFFECT: increased capacity of steam trap, simplified design.
