FIELD: thermal treatment of materials in electromagnetic fields, applicable for heating products of chemical, wood working industries, in particular, drying of boards of various dimensions. SUBSTANCE: the method of drying, mainly of wood, consists in placement of the material to be worked in a working chamber in the form of a wedge, which is arranged in such a way that the field electrical component is perpendicular even to one plane of the wedge with a subsequent treatment of it by circulating air and microwave electromagnetic field fed by means of a waveguide transmission line connected to the working chamber through square-section horn aerials. EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of drying of various materials at a reduced consumption of paver and enhanced capacity.
