SUBSTANCE: method includes the following operations: determination of transported freight mass, continuous measurement of route passed, calculation of speed factor as relation of continuously measured speed of motion to standard speed, and setting of operating condition coefficient. Operating time is determined by summing-up of products of values of transported freight mass, passed route being measured, speed factor and operating condition coefficient. Device intended for method realization has setter of value of transported freight mass, motion speed meter, route counter, freight turnover calculator, freight turnover indicator, operating condition setter, operating time indicator, and calculator of operating time in standard conventional units.
