FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for diagnostics of predominantly tractor engines under operational conditions. Technical result consist in possibility of measurement, without intervention to design of engine, of effective power and rotational speed of engine shaft and specific consumption of fuel maximally allowed under operational conditions and in comparison of these values with corresponding indices of service forms and records and indications by each index in case of its incompatibility to service forms and records ( inoperativeness of internal combustion engine by given index ). Facility diagnosing normal operation of engine has fuel flow transducer, unit finding extremum with on-line storage of maximum fuel consumption, unit measuring power of engine, indicator fixing maximum power, calculator of specific fuel consumption, master unit of maximally permitted rated values ( power, rotational speed of engine shaft and specific fuel consumption ), indicators-warning devices and comparators. One input of calculator of specific fuel consumption is connected to output of indicator fixing maximum power and another input of it is coupled to on-line storage of maximum fuel consumption. Outputs of comparators are connected to indicators-warning devices and their inputs are connected to outputs of master unit of maximally permitted rated values and to outputs of indicator fixing maximum power and calculator of specific fuel consumption. Indicator fixing maximum power registers value of rotational speed of engine shaft at maximum power. EFFECT: measurement of maximally permitted effective power. 2 dwg
