FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of object parameters at its test points. Condition of object is checked by comparing of measured values of parameters with their threshold levels. If measured parameters are within initial threshold levels condition of object is considered normal, otherwise fault is diagnosed. For this purpose faulty assembly of object or parameter pickup is detected. Diagnostics is performed in steps. Sequence and direction of parameter getting out beyond its threshold level are recorded in every step. At moment the first of parameters gets out beyond its threshold level, reading of check interval of time is started. Within this interval number of parameters got out beyond their threshold levels is recorded. If ore than one parameter gets out beyond its threshold level fault is stated. Then auxiliary threshold levels of measured parameters are determined and used during next step of diagnosing till fault is localized completely. Values of auxiliary threshold levels are selected processing from measurements of values of parameters at moment fault is detected on preceding level. If one of parameters gets out beyond threshold level and then returns into the limits of initial threshold levels within check interval of time decision about random overshooting is taken. If parameter does not return to initial threshold level this parameter pickup is faulty. EFFECT: enhanced truth of diagnosing. 2 dwg
