FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of inspecting and diagnosing a liquid-propellant engine (LPE) involves cyclic measurement of test parametres, their comparison with given threshold values and inspecting and diagnosing the engine based on the comparison results. The measured parametres used are temperature and pressure in gas and liquid channels of the engine, where pressure and temperature of the medium in the engine section are also measured. The measured parametres are compared with threshold values and faults in the engine and its units are determined from the comparison results.

EFFECT: faster operation of the control system and faster isolation of failures.
