FIELD: electric communication technique. SUBSTANCE: device to monitor level of power of signal received by base station of digital cellular communication system of multistation access with code separation of channels includes storage having first table to memorize voltages of automatic gain control which correspond to sequence of levels of received signal, having second table to memorize changeable voltages of attenuation control corresponding to voltages of automatic gain control. Voltages of automatic gain control and of changeable attenuation control are obtained in agreement with proposed method. Input level of received signal corresponding to voltage of automatic gain control of received signal is monitored by first table. Voltage of automatic gain control corresponding to changeable voltage of attenuation control of received signal is monitored by second table. First table is used to compute difference between input levels with use of monitored voltage of automatic gain control. Finally level of power of received signal is computed by subtraction of difference between input levels from monitored input level. EFFECT: improved reliability of device and method in monitoring of level of power of signal received by base station. 3 cl, 9 dwg
