FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, equipment for fractionating split cast-iron shot used in shotblast machines for roll hatching. SUBSTANCE: separator has separating chamber with air inlet and outlet openings and air flow generating fan. Discharge chutes with fraction discharge openings and adjusting shields are positioned in lower part of separating chamber. Feed bin is connected with separating chamber through vertical pipeline, where bulk material dissipator is positioned. Dissipator has set of horizontal wire nets sequentially overlapping pipeline section. Minimum clear section of wire net cells exceeds average section of largest fraction particle by at least three times. Distance between adjacent cells in vertical plane is not less than mentioned size of cell, and number "n" of nets corresponds to ratio: n ≥ b/d, where b is cell section size; d is diameter of net wire. EFFECT: increased separating efficiency by uniform delivery of bulk material into separating chamber. 4 cl, 2 dwg
