FIELD: rolled product manufacture. SUBSTANCE: gear coupling has spindle shaft and toothed holder engaged with hollow toothed sleeve. Gear coupling has sealing unit formed as casing with inner conical surface adapted to embrace sleeve. Coupling is sealed by means of two sealing cords. One of cords is positioned in annular groove on inner conical surface of casing so as to surround sleeve. Other cord is positioned in annular groove on inner surface of cover fixed on holder end so as to surround holder from outside. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation of coupling, transmission equipment and mill roll drive and increased quality of rolled products by improved sealing capacity of coupling sealing unit. 3 dwg
