FIELD: organic chemistry, more particularly synthesis of corrosion inhibitors, oil production and oil refining, and processing of natural gas. SUBSTANCE: inhibitor is essentially complex composition which is product of reaction of stillage residue resulting from production of diethanol amine containing up to 90% of oxyethyl derivatives (but not less than 40%) and C12-24 fatty acids. This reaction is carried out at amine to acid ratio of 1-8:1, first at temperature of 120-151 C to attain 90-95% conversion of original acid, and then at temperature which is by 20-50 C higher than original temperature to attain at least 98% conversion of original acid. EFFECT: efficient corrosion inhibitor and use of economical low- waste technology and utilization of methyl diethanol amine production waste. 9 ex, 1 tbl
