FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: according to method of fortifying foundation, sinking down around foundation is device in the form of sheet piles with shoulders which are pivotally attached to side surface of sheet piles at side which is facing towards foundation. Installed on sheet pile shoulders are deviation limiters. After partial withdrawing of sunken sheet piles from ground and opening of shoulders, sheet piles are secured to supporting sites arranged on ground surface. Application of aforesaid invention improves load-bearing capacity of foundation due to change in work of ground inside volume which is separated by sheet piling and due to transmitting part of stresses to ground surface beyond boundaries of sheet piling.
