FIELD: manufacture of fans; construction of sealing devices fitted between impeller and inlet manifold of radial-flow fans, mainly gas suction fans. SUBSTANCE: sealing device includes guide limiting ring secured on inner end face of manifold. Guide limiting ring has varying thickness reduced towards outer end face where flexible torous ring is mounted. Rings may be made from materials reducing friction and sparking, from brass for example. EFFECT: probability of automatic control of minimum permissible clearance between impeller and inlet manifold of radial-flow fan in the course of operation, i.e. without stoppage. 2 cl, 4 dwg
