FIELD: examination of construction with sealed cavities. SUBSTANCE: method contains determination of gas leakage amount by filling of measuring volume V, including sealed flange connection with gas at definite pressure Po with subsequent dynamic opening of flange connection by definite value at rates of 1-3 m/s. Method also includes recording of pressure value variation in measuring volume, relative shift of flanges in process of joint opening, and subsequent time of return to initial state. The operations are followed by recalculation by the formulas proceeding from known Po, V and recorded data. Method makes it possible to predict and determine actual amount of leakage depending on size of volume to be sealed and on pressure in it, as well as on rate of joint opening and closing.
