METHOD OF DIAGNOSIS OF CHRONIC PANCREATITIS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, particularly, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement in patient of amylase of pancreatic juice before and after stimulation of pancreas with pancreozymin; determination of ratio of obtained parameters (K1): taking samples of saliva simultaneously with taking of pancreatic juice; determination of activity of saliva amylase; determination on the basis of obtained data of relation of amylase of stimulated sample to amylase of basal sample (K2). If K1/K2 ratio is within 0.219-1.02, aggravation of chronic pancreatitis is diagnosed with normally functioning duct system. If K1/K2 ratio in saliva and juice is within 1.021-3.5, remission of disease is diagnosed, and if K2 ratios exceed 1.021 and K1 ratios is less than 1.02, chronic pancreatitis is diagnosed, with disturbance of functioning of duct system. EFFECT: more accurate diagnosis with consideration of individual excretory function of pancreas with physiological load and provision of possibility of administration of adequate efficient therapy.
