FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for preliminary thermal treatment of fodder grain. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has conveyor, infrared emitters positioned above conveyor belt and each provided with cylindrical reflecting shield made from fire-clay brick. Emitters are united into three sections disposed along conveyor in spaced relation one with respect to another, with space between them increasing in grain advancement direction. Distance between lower edges of each subsequent shield from periphery to center of conveyor belt is increasing for 13-16% with respect to previous shield. Distance from each emitter to shield reflective surface top point is 45-65% of minimum distance between lower edges of shield. Such construction and arrangement of emitters and shields allows heat flux to be relaxed during heating and grain surface burning to be omitted. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of fodder grain. 5 cl, 3 dwg
