FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, in particular, to installations for automatic thermal treatment of bulk food material by means of infrared radiation energy. The installation contains a batch hopper, an outlet tray and a thermally insulated chamber between them where the conveyor belt carrying the layer of the material being treated is placed. Mounted over the belt are tubular infrared radiators partially placed with a guaranteed clearance inside the reflecting tunnels of the flat panel. The tubular infrared radiators are equidistributed along the Teflon conveyor belt in the flat panel crosswise tunnels having a functional ceramic coating irradiating at wavelength equal to 1.5-3.0 mcm. The clearances between the infrared radiators and the tunnels functional coating is equal to 20-30 mm.
EFFECT: invention usage will allow to implement quality thermal treatment of various food products with specific energy consumption reduction due to more efficient usage of infrared radiation in an optimised range of the spectrum for the intended purpose.
