CLOTHING FOR PROTECTING FROM SUCKING INSECTS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: production of clothing for fellers, tourists, mineral source prospectors and other people working in the regions inhabited with mites, mosquitos and other sucking insects. SUBSTANCE: clothing has set of articles such as underwear and outer shirts, covers for protecting neck and head worn at a time and manufactured from specific knitted fabrics made from smoothly dyed or coarse yarn (threads). Outer and underwear shirts are interconnected by fillet weave. Thickness of cell webs of fillet double weave of underwear shirt exceeds 3.5 mm, and each cell of outer shirt fillet weave has area less by an order of magnitude less than area of each cell of underwear shirt fillet weave. Total thickness of outer and underwear shirts exceeds length of sucking insect beak and is at least 3.8 mm. Width of underwear shirt fillet weave cell webs is 3-5 mm. Height of each underwear shirt fillet weave cell is 12-15 mm and its width is 10-15 mm. Width of pair of such adjacent cells is 7-11 mm. Fabric surface density is 560 plus and minus 34 g/sq m. Thickness of clothing is sufficient for preventing sucking insect beak from coming into contact with individual's body skin. Such clothing is harmless both for individual and nature as compared to chemical protection. Even upon multiple washings or prolonged wear of clothing fabric cells of underwear shirt are permanently open to provide adequate ventilation due to increased form stability.
