FIELD: fireproof materials used in localization and extinguishing of fire under land conditions in any industry, and under conditions of zero gravity on orbital stations. SUBSTANCE: material is used in the form of absorbing thermal screen with unlimited linear sizes, caps limiting fire seat from environment or as a component of article. Material may be used as heat protective cover in composition of article being under effect of heat. Fireproof material is made in the form of pack and consists of alternating heat-reflecting layer and heat-resistant layer. The latter is made of impregnated glass cloth. Heat-reflecting layer is made in the form of perforated nickel foil. Heat-resistant layer glass cloth is impregnated with crystal hydrate. Glass cloth is based on silicon textured cloth. The fireproof material ensures not only localization of fire but also fire extinguishing under conditions of closed space, for instance, on orbital stations. Material is serviceable under high temperatures (1000-1100 C) for prolonged time (1.5-2 h) with provision of temperature of external side of protective material within 70 C without liberation of toxic products to atmosphere of closed space.
