FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: mechanical underwater robot includes submarine and grip provided with two semicylindrical doors with levers for opening and closing them. Doors are connected by means of hinge and levers of doors are connected with submarine by means of chains; submarine is made from interconnected ring-shaped tubes filled with lighter-than-water liquid. Each door with levers is made from separate tubes connected through coupling inserts welded to their ends; these tubes are also filled with lighter-than-water liquid. Envelopes of aerohoists secured on lateral sides of doors and on submarine are inflated with preheated air by means of compressor located in submarine through hoses.
