RESCUE SHIP'S LIFT Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: raising sunken vessels, mainly sunken submarines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed rescue ship's lift is made in form of submarine provided with grips and passageways for crew. Smoothly located along sides of this submarine are frames with brackets to which bearing levers and hydraulic cylinders are connected. Grips have beams and tubular sides made from horizontal pipes located vertically in these beams; they are also provided with brackets for connecting the said levers and hydraulic cylinders for vertical motion of these grips and closing of their bent lower ends under sunken vessel, thus forming bilge for this vessel. Horizontal pipes are communicated by means of end tubular strips; they are also communicated with compressed air reservoirs through compressors for transfer of air from reservoir and vice versa for forcing water out of said pipes and admitting water to them. Each passageway is made in form of pipe running through pressurized aperture in submarine hull bottom and provided with elements for hermetic connection with escape hatch of vessel to be hoisted.

EFFECT: reduction of ship-raising time; enhanced safety.
