SUBSTANCE: raw mix comprises, wt %: milled sand, 30-60; binding agent which is lime-sodium feldspar, or dowcenite, or nepheline in combination with sodium borate or halide at ratio thereof from 0.5:1.5 to 1:1.5-10; filler, 3-15 unmilled quartz sand, the balance, some sand and binding agent are subjected to fine grinding, are mixed with unmilled sand moistened to 7-10% depending proportions of sand fractions, briquetted on trays at 7-15 MPa, dried at 250- 300 C for 70 min, fired at 900-1000 C for 90 min. Physico-chemical characteristics of products: water absorption is 7-8%; frost resistance is 65-150 cycles; ultimate compression strength is 69-111 MPa; ultimate bending strength is 23-42 MPa: wear resistance is 0.1- 0.32 g/sq.cm; chemical resistance is 98.32-99.51%: heat conduction is 0.59-0.7 W/m.
