FIELD: processes of treatment materials with plasma jet used in machine- and ship-building, construction, etc. SUBSTANCE: process plasma generator has body with electrode device consisting of holder with cathode insert and nozzle, means for supply of working medium and cooling liquid or gas. In this case, holder and nozzle over the entire cooling surface have thin porous layer of heat-conducting material with surface featuring high roughness. The method includes intensive cooling of electrode or nozzle devices with flow of liquid or gas. Intensification of heat abstraction from device to flow is attained by increase of heat abstracting area of cooled surface by making on them of thin porous layer of heat-conducting material with high surface roughness.
