FIELD: mining industry, installations breaking hard rocks. SUBSTANCE: electrodynamic shock mechanism has body, pulse inductor mounted for free axial reciprocating movement with regard to body, anchor-striker with short-circuited turn on butt and restoring member. Winding of inductor is made of two spaced apart sections put on frame in center part of magnetic circuit. Second short-circuited turn identical to one put on butt of anchor-striker is placed on body on side of inductor. Short-circuited turns are manufactured in the form of diamagnetic washers. Usage of mobile pulse inductor in electric shock mechanism allows pulse of electromagnetic force acting on anchor-striker to be increased, coefficient of conversion of electric energy to mechanical one to be raised and inductor to be safe-guarded against asymmetric dynamic loads which results in increased operational reliability of it.
