FIELD: steam turbines. SUBSTANCE: barring gear has electric drive, mechanical step-down gear transmission, final toothed wheel which is, essentially, rim of free-wheel clutch with stop flats for turning spring-loaded pawls on driven gear of shaft line, and supporting members. The latter are arranged so that axis of cylindrical supporting surface formed by them is below axis of shaft line driven gear and supporting flats are inclined through certain angle to radial sections of toothed wheel so as to produce radial component capable of shifting toothed wheel in radial direction and lifting it above supporting members as soon as toothed wheel comes in contact with spring-loaded pawls of driven gear. This releases supporting members. EFFECT: simplified mechanical design and facilitated manufacture of supporting members. 2 dwg
