FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method cylinder is scavenged by air charge, air charge is compressed in cylinder and then bypassed into external combustion chamber into which fuel is injected, then compressed air charge is displaced from place of fuel injection to place of combustion (ignition) of fuel-air mixture, combustion products are bypassed and exhaust gases are expelled from cylinder. At the same time part of compressed air charge is separated and delivered into combustion chamber filled with mixture of fuel vapors with small amount of air. Two-stroke internal combustion engine has at least one cylinder accommodating piston mechanically coupled with crankshaft. It has cylinder head with fitted in valve fuel nozzle, combustion chamber with through ports made with central angle equal in size to number divided by number of combustion chambers located in rotating member arranged in cylinder head and mechanically coupled with crankshaft with possibility of periodical and successive communication with cylinder space through bypass port, fuel nozzle and place of ignition displaced relative to fuel nozzle in direction of member rotation through distance exceeding length of through port. Engine is additionally furnished with valve type gas-air nozzle and gas-air disk-regulator mounted on shaft together with rotating member. gas-air nozzle is installed to provided periodical communication with cylinder space through disk-regulator.
