FIELD: mechanical engineering; two-stroke internal combustion piston engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, engine is furnished with double-acting piston air charger providing delivery of air into combustion chamber at both operating cycles of engine. Piston of air charge is arranged coaxially to working piston in one common cylinder and is rigidly connected to working piston by rod. Air charging chambers are divided by partition in form of bushing with channels communicating upper and lower chambers of air charge with combustion chamber. Rod connecting the pistons is made in form of plunger located in channel of bushing and provided with holes in middle part to bypass compressed air from upper and lower chambers of air charger into combustion chamber.
EFFECT: provision of simple-design pollution-free universal fuel engine featuring high specific power and low specific fuel consumption.
