FIELD: optical instrument engineering, in particular, optical systems of the binocular type functioning on a movable base. SUBSTANCE: binocular system has two objective lenses, two movable rhomb-prisms, two eye-pieces, gimbal suspension, support fixed on the system body, two units of the transformation system, elastic dissipative system having a ring magnetic system secured to the system body, cantilever whose one end is attached to the external ring of the gimbal suspension and passing through the hole in the magnetic system, and plates of two types, at least one of each type, secured to the cantilevers in such a way that their surfaces are perpendicular to the cantilever axis; the plates of the first type are made of non-magnetic material with a low specific electrical resistance, and the plates of the second type are made of soft magnetic material. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and mass of the system. 4 cl, 1 dwg
