SUBSTANCE: winding machine incorporating provision for detecting pinholes on surfaces of wire as it is wound on laminated stator core during motor manufacture or instantly locating pinholes on machine already manufactured to determine its quality has laminated- core fixing facility; voltage is applied from power supply to closed circuit set up of core fixing facility and wire drawing tool. Winding machine also has pinhole detecting means connected to closed circuit to detect pulse generated in case of ground fault in wire.
