FIELD: video shooting facilities. SUBSTANCE: video camera has lens for throwing light reflected from object into focus, mirror, photoconverter for recording light reflected by mirror in the form of video information, facility responding to camera shaking caused by trembling of operator's hand in shooting the object, operating mechanism for setting mirror in motion according to actions of facility responding to camera trembling so as to compensate for this trembling, and facility for locking mirror in position when its operating mechanism does not function. Camera of first design version has its mirror-locking facility incorporating case, two magnets mounted on case and on mirror, and interlocking member mounted between two magnets of case. Interlocking member is free to move between two mentioned magnets. Device for building up magnetic field is mounted on interlocking member to ensure its selective contact with two magnets. Mirror-locking facility of second design version has light-emitting element and light-detecting one which are relatively moving in response to trembling of mentioned mirror, as well as mirror-locking unit operating in response to signals coming from light-emitting and light-detecting elements. EFFECT: provision for eliminating errors due to mirror trembling and for maintaining desired image even when hand-trembling compensator is not functioning. 6 cl, 11 dwg
