FIELD: general therapy. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for determine glucose taste sensitivity in diabetes patient descendants. Samples prepared from citric acid, glucose, and distilled water are placed on anterior one third part of tongue while distilled water is placed on side surfaces of tongue to evaluate indifferent taste. Tastes for these irritants are identified and persons are revealed in which absolute glucose taste sensitivity threshold is reduced. When glucose perception by taste receptors is changed at normal acidic taste perception and adequate evaluation of tasteless sample (distilled water), preclinical forms of carbohydrate metabolism disorders are stated.
