FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: in acute period of insult one should determine the combination of spasticoparetic syndrome, sensitive disorders, motor aphasia, foci of brain tissue lesions and expansion of liquor-containing spaces at neurovisualization. At sharply pronounced spasticoparetic syndrome combined with either pronounced or total motor aphasia or sensitive disorders in the most acute period of insult; multiple stenosis 50-99% lumen or occlusions of two or more main-line cerebral arteries, foci for brain tissue lesions of multiple character at neurovascularization at the decrease of volumetric cerebral index being below 0.55 and pronounced expansion of liquor-containing spaces at the increase of volumetric index of subarachnoidal space up to 0.10 and higher one should predict the possibility for the development of galloping type of postinsult period flow, in an opposite case - the remittent type. The method enables to carry out more accurate and earlier prediction of postinsult period flow. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 ex, 1 tbl
