FIELD: medicine, in particular, traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: instrument may be used for longitudinal dissection of trendons for their extension. Instrument has limiting plates, handle and operating cutting part with two-sided sharpening. Cutting edge of sharpening is deflected from limiting axis through 30-35 deg. Limiting plates are made in the form convex towards outside for atraumatic separation of dissected tendon from adjacent soft tissues. One plate has extended narrowed front section. The plate is positioned on one side of cutting member for introduction of operating part through skin incision and for transverse cutting of tendon prior to its longitudinal dissection.
