FIELD: sprinkling wet separators for cleaning used air. SUBSTANCE: proposed separator is used for cleaning air contaminated with particles which is exhausted from working zone, especially for cleaning the air containing particles of paint from paint spraying chamber. Separator has intake opening, expanding section, deflection section which is used for deflecting the air flow exhaust transversely relative to flow in intake opening, nozzle and exhaust opening of passage where cross section reduces considerably and reflector section formed on wall of passage oppositely to nozzle relative to direction of flow through nozzle; reflector section is used for reflecting noise created in zone of nozzle, backward towards nozzle. Wall of above-mentioned section diverges at least sectionally in longitudinal section from straight line connecting the narrowest section located between intake opening and expansion section as far as point connecting the expansion section and deflection section. EFFECT: reduced level of noise in working zone; enhanced efficiency of separator. 13 cl, 4 dwg
