FIELD: cleaning flue gases by powder slaked lime. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes slaking quick lime by water to obtain moisture content in slaked lime of at least 5 wt-% and bringing slaked lime in contact with flue gases for 1 minute. Device proposed for realization of this method has inlet end for delivery of quicklime and outlet end for removal of slaked lime, water supply unit and mixer; device has first section between inlet and outlet ends and second section which are separated by overflow edge; sections are provided with mixing unit with revolving horizontal shafts located in transversal direction for mixing and delivery of quick lime and water in longitudinal direction from inlet end in way of overflow edge and from first overflow edge in way of second overflow edge located near outlet end.
