FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly metallic structures in building, machine engineering and other industry branches. SUBSTANCE: channel bar includes in its cross section joining of flanges and web and at least one part of inner line of flange and web joining of at least one corner portion of bar that forms angle by crossing axes of flange and web and(or) at least a part of inner line of flange of at least one corner portion of bar and(or) at least a part of outer line of flange of at least of one corner portion of bar and(or) at least a part of web line and(or) edge at least of flange and(or) at least one apex of bar are in the form of fragment of oblique cone section of straight round cone. It provides increased smoothness of transition of curve portions at maintaining smoothness independently upon roll wear and lowered cost price of bar manufacture due to reducing shaping operations of channel bar at rolling and increased wear resistance of rolls. EFFECT: lowered cost price, enhanced technological effectiveness, decreased material consumption at maintaining carrying capability in condition of lengthwise axially non-symmetrical compression, torsion or bending. 32 cl, 24 dwg
