FIELD: treatment of metals by cutting. SUBSTANCE: milling cutter is provided with locks to secure peripheral cutting plates having flat surface and segmental base. Length of base arc exceeds half the length of described base circumference by 12.5-13.0%. Cylindrical holes which depth exceeds that of chip removing groove, for peripheral cutting plates and locks are provided on body along chip removing groove. Every end cutting plate is arranged in recess which depth is larger than depth of chip removing groove, and rear wall of recess has cylindrical surface.
