MULTIPLY RESHAPENED CUTTER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: metal working, cutting tools for outer turning of parts of machines and devices. SUBSTANCE: cutter includes holder with cylindrical seat for cylindrical rod-shaped cutting member; cutout of tangential clamp and screw for tightening said cutout. In order to enlarge manufacturing possibilities, cutter is provided with segment insert having flat on its stem and with pin pressed in holder and designed for joining with said flat. Holder is made with possibility of increasing clamping effort of cutting tool by means of resilience forces. There are lengthwise grooves in above mentioned seat. Cutting tool may be builtup one; flat of segment insert is inclined relative to surface of insert joined with cutting member. Segment insert may be placed in front of cutout of tangential clamp. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of cutter. 3 cl, 6 dwg
