FIELD: pipe heat insulation, in particular, methods of application of heat insulation of foaming materials, for example, expanded polyurethanes, onto the pipe external surface. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in arrangement on pipe of an elastic shell with a diameter not exceeding the mould inside diameter. The ends of the annular cavity between pipe and elastic shell are sealed. The pipe with the elastic shell is placed in a mould. The annular cavity between the pipe and elastic shell is filled with coating heat-insulating material and cured for structurization. EFFECT: uniform application of coating around the edges.
